Please make sure to read and follow these rules carefully, to ensure that your final entry is eligible to win

  • Your entry must relate to the Event’s theme. You can be as creative as you want as long as it stays within the concept of the event.

  • You need to submit no more then 3 rendered images to the event final renders forum here

  • A WIP needs to be posted here at least once a week. Contestants without a WIP in this forum will not be allowed to submit a final render and will be disqualified from the event.

  • Your entry must be a new and original creation specifically made for this Event (no existing projects or models to be used) An image in the bottom side of your render must state (WIP for 3DC event) along with the date created. eg; below

  • Your entry must be created by only one person (no group, organizations/companies or teams)

  • Your entry must be a 3d HD rendered image (Max file size is 5mb per image).

  • You can only use Kit-Ops related tools and add-ons in this event. You are to use minimum of 50% of the entire render using Kit-Ops products and Kit-Ops Kitbash items for your main focus model.

  • You can use any visual render style of your choice (like photorealism, NPR, low poly etc.)

  • Minimal use of third party assets is allowed, as long as they don’t take up more than ~20% of the 3d scene and are not the main focus of your scene (third party textures and materials are not included in this rule and can be used with no limitations)

  • 2d or concept art is not allowed (but can be used to plan your 3d scene)

  • No fanart allowed due to copyright laws.

  • Using a concept art of another artist as foundation for your 3d work is not allowed unless written consent from the artist is given.

  • Enhancing your rendering in post production is allowed – That includes things like color adjustments, compositing render layers/passes and adding effects like smoke, fire, particles etc. Extending your scene with a sky background is allowed too. Other than that, adding photographic elements (like cut out characters or vegetation) or doing paintovers or photobashing is not allowed.

  • Imagery & depictions of hate, racism, sexism or other discriminatory factors will additionally be judged based on their context & visual narrative. If the entry is clearly promoting or idealizing a harmful agenda then it will be disqualified.

  • You must submit your work before the deadline is over (we won’t accept entries after the deadline!)

  • If someone has won two times in a row (no matter if placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd), this person can’t win the following event in the 1st tier event. If multiple submissions have been made by the contestant only one can place in the winners pool. The person still can participate and win an honorable mention and their artwork featured etc if they have won the previous two events.

Judging on two different criteria: Design and Rendering. How aesthetic is the design of the object? Not looking for functionality, just overall design. And of course the rendering. Renderings should be submitted (not more than 3) at 1920 x 1080 resolution.
